Walcon Marine Australia designed, manufactured and supplied the floating pontoons and gangways to its project partner, Tambo Constructions, for the new boat ramp facility at Brodribb River.

The floating pontoons and gangways were fully fabricated and assembled in Walcon’s Rockingham factory, then shipped across country to site. The floating pontoons and gangways were then installed upon completion of the concrete launching ramps.

The dual design was one of two floating jetty options offered to the East Gippsland Shire Council. The site is now fully operational for boat users in the region.

Marine-grade aluminium was used to construct the pontoons, along with Walcon’s unique and highly durable polyethylene floats. FRP Micro Mesh was used as the decking surface for a low maintenance solution. To protect vessels on the launching ramp, a rubber ‘D’ fender is attached to the outer frame.
