Maraboo Island, Port Coogee - WA

November 13, 2019

Walcon recently completed the design and construction of ten (10) residential pontoons at the Maraboo Island redevelopment in Port Coogee, WA. These pontoons were supplied to one of WA’s boutique developers, Megara, on behalf of leading coastal engineers, MP Rogers & Associates.

Works included the piling, design, and construction of pontoons, along with gangways connecting to a fixed, land-based aluminium platform.

There nine pontoons along the northern face of Maraboo Island which are 12m long x 2.5m wide. On the western face of the island, there is a larger 20m long connected pontoon.

All pontoons are complete with a light grey, FRP Micro Mesh decking surface. These decks complement the sleek aluminium design of the pontoon frames.

Across the canal you’ll also notice a number of Walcon’s residential pontoons, highlighted above all others by their high quality and crisp finish. Additionally, Maraboo Island is only a ‘stone’s throw’ away from the previously completed Port Coogee Marina.

In conclusion, Walcon are extremely delighted to have partnered with MP Rogers in delivering such a fantastic project for Megara.
